Blog Monetization

Every blogger or most bloggers dream is to make money while doing what they love. There are numerous ways to make money while blogging, but before then I’ll show you 4 simple laws of blogging. These laws will be a fundamental aspect of blog monetization.

4 simple laws of blogging:

1. Engagement:

How engaging is your content? Do people interact with your contents very well, do they spend time reading your contents, watching your videos or commenting. If they do, then they’ll most likely purchase your products.

Few days back i wrote about goals every blogger should get and i explained more about engagement and bringing in traffic to your blog. You can read more about it if you haven’t below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

2. Focus:

You need to have a specific niche or topic you write about or contents you put out on your blog. People want to visit and keep visiting a site because it answers their everday needs, wants or it fills a void.

So if you started a blog about purely fashion, and for a year it’s been about just fashion and nothing else and eventually you start diverting into other irrelevant aspects, it will make you lose your core audience and any product you bring to the table will most likely fail to hit the sales target.

I know i said on one of my posts about exploring other aspects while blogging, yes you can still explore and improve on your blog if it’s all about fashion or something else. By diverting i mean introducing topics like engineering or mining into a blog that started off as a complete fashion blog. If you are to explore or try out other things, it should be around your niche.

3. Quality:

Blogging isn’t about just pushing contents, but pushing quality contents that are well-written, cite all it’s sources e.t.c. Don’t skip or push aside quality if you are serious about monetizing your blog.

4. Value:

Value is another core fundamental aspect when it comes to blogging. What can people gain from you? What are you an expert at? What makes the difference?

Create tutorial and informative posts with the help of videos and other media to make people understand more. Take your time to deliver value, once this is done, monetization won’t be a problem.

Now let’s dive into monetizing your blog.

1. Affiliate Marketing:

Develope contents that will be in line with whatever affiliate offers or products you plan to push out.

For example, if you run a fashion blog, you can easily sell some of your fashion designed products, sell ebooks about tips in fashion or how to make fashion clothings e.t.c or if you are into a fitness blog, you can sell health, weight loss and body building products.

2. Advertising:

Most people might think that adding some pay-per-click (PPC) ads will be a great way to make lots of money with their blogs, unless you have massive amounts of traffic — as in 10,000+ visitors per day or more — the income will be marginal at best. The real income here doesn’t start until you cross about 100,000 visitors per day.

However, you could easily negotiate terms directly with advertisers by utilizing display ads as opposed to PPC ads. As long as the ads are within your specific niche or industry, you can likely negotiate an amount that would be much more competitive than income from standard PPC ads.

3. Sell ebooks:

Develop an ebook that’s in line with the content of your blog. Non-fiction ebooks are relatively simple to create, and if you’re teaching a skill or giving out tutorials that many people struggle with, it’s likely that the ebook will produce a healthy profit.

You can easily promote your ebook directly through your blog by creating attractive content that will draw people in, then enticing them with your ebook.

4. Wordads:

If you are running a WordPress blog, and you are on wordads, you’ll be paid based on the amount of visitors you get, not the CPC, especially when you are getting visitors from America or other European countries. This is basically the easiest way of monetizing your blog, all you need to do is ensure you have a good and rapidly growing engagement and you are good to go.

It’s interesting once you have the visitors coming in regularly. Don’t feel discouraged or give up if you don’t have the engagement or aren’t getting the money yet, your time will come and it will be like a dream to you once it starts happening.

5. Sell digital products:

Creating digital products is a great way to profit from your blog. You can effectively sell any type of digital information product on your blog as long as it’s in line with your content.

Digital products can be a combination of videos, downloadable guides, resources, PDFs, software components, SaaS and others. Do your best to create something that helps fill a need or a void. Don’t doubt yourself, you’d be surprised at just how much money you can make by selling digital products on your blog.

The above mentioned are just 4 out the numerous ways to monetize your blog. Hope this was helpful, don’t give up no matter what, your success is just around the corner.โค๏ธโœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธ
