How To Get Yourself Motivated To Blog When Experiencing Little Or No Progress At All

It can be very frustrating to see little or no progress at all on your blog, after putting in so much work and effort.

After spending lots of hours to get a post up, the extra time you spend proofreading and making the post great…and at the end of the day, it’s just your mum, siblings or friends who ends up reading your post. That can make anyone go crazy.๐Ÿ˜ 

How To Get Yourself Motivated.

1. Have A Purpose And A Goal:

Many people make the mistake of not having a purpose and a goal for their blogs. That’s why they end up getting frustrated, and at the end of the day, they close down their blogs.

I talked about purpose in my previous POST. I said a purpose serves as a guide, a drive, and a motivation to reaching your goals.

When you have a defined purpose and a goal, it will serve as a motivation to keep blogging, to keep putting in more work till you achieve your planned out goals.

Don’t ever make the mistake of not having a purpose and a goal when blogging. Trust me you’ll end up regretting it.

If you blog because everyone else is doing it, with no clear purpose or goal… hmm, you’re really deceiving yourself.

Note: There is no right or wrong in blogging. Some people blog by showing just images alone, some blog by showing just videos, and some write long contents e.t.c

It’s a matter of staying consistent and on point with your strategy and goals.

2. Reduce Distractions:

It becomes hard to focus or get motivated when you have easily accessible distractions around you everytime.

Turn off that TV of yours, get yourself out of that bed and don’t be lazy, close the doors, meditate on your goals, set up an alarm or reminder to always remind you to blog, so you don’t just end up wasting the whole day doing nothing.

You can also put up your blog schedule notes around your workspace, so you don’t forget.

3. Get Motivation From People In Your Life Or Niche:

Spend less time with people who always look at the bad side of things. Let go of that bad vibe and bad energy immediately.

Spend more time with motivated people and let their energy flow through you. Learn from successful bloggers around your niche, and motivate yourself by their success stories and secrets behind their success.

4. Be Positive:

Always say to yourself, I will make it, I will become a successful blogger, I will succeed in life.

Whatever you let out to the universe, it will always return back to you. If you keep saying negative things to yourself, just because you aren’t successful yet, or because you’ve experienced some failures while blogging… you’ll never succeed, instead you’ll get stranded in that position for a long time.

Positivity can energize and recharge your motivation.

Always ask yourself, what’s good about the situation I’m in? And what’s the hidden opportunity about it?

5. Challenge Yourself:

Instead of comparing yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself and see how far you’ve come, and how far you can go.

Don’t be hard on yourself, but instead challenge yourself to unlock the next phase.

6. Remind Yourself Of Why You’re Doing What You’re Doing:

Lack of motivation can make one loose sight of his or her purpose.

So take out time to remind yourself of why you launched your blog in the first place. Is it to earn from it? Is it to build a better life? Is it because you want to help others? Is it because you want to share your knowledge and experience with the world? e.t.c

Put that note where you can see it everyday, or in your phones for easy access whenever you need a motivational boost.
